will remind us of the importance of connecting with our neighbors and
sharing the joy that music brings into our lives. We will be

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spring Concert
Saturday, May 16 at Sunday, May 17 at St. John's Episcopal On the Square, Carlisle Inspired by the sensational
performances of the world's finest athletes at the Summer 2008 Olympics
and the world's finest choirs at the Eighth World Symposium on Choral
Music, Cantate Carlisle's spring concert showcases choral music from
North America's finest composers and arrangers. Sacred music,
serious, sublime, soulful, and swinging, is represented by Ruth Watson
Henderson's Missa Brevis, Williams Billings' I Am the Rose of Sharon, gospel tune He Never Failed Me Yet, and Ward Swingle's vocal jazz arrangement of When the Saints Go Marching In.
Canadian folk songs and early American popular songs
are sure to charm audiences with both lyricism and humor. Songs of
nature reflect the diversity and majesty of the awe-inspiring North
American landscape.
