2006 - 2007 Concert season

Fall Holiday Concert
The Beauty of Love at the Heart of Christmas:
The Music of John Rutter

Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 10, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.
Second Presbyterian Church
Garland and Rockledge Drives, Carlisle PA

Rekindle the wonder of Christmas with Cantate Carlisle in a concert that highlights three of the facets of John
Rutter's music that make him the best loved choral composer of our time. Combine the lovely lyrical lines of Rutter's
melodies with his penchant for the drama of the stage and his personal connection to the much loved traditional
English cathedral lessons and carols; this is a recipe for a holiday concert bursting with flavors sure to appeal to
    everyone's palate.

This season's moving holiday program includes
      * Rutter's engaging Magnificat with chamber orchestra
      * familiar carols arranged in John Rutter's simple and unpretentious style
      * the heart-rending motet for double choir, Come Down, O Love Divine
      * and several of Rutter's most delightful original carols for choir and orchestra
